You don't need any special Augmented Reality projector or expensive equipment. Our software works with any reasonably modern computer and whatever projector is powerful enough for your situation.

Here, we'll list some of the projectors that our customers have had good experiences with and even go into some details about how to be sure that you're getting something powerful enough for your specific situation.

One of the most overlooked specifications on projectors is the screen size. You will want to find something that has a screen or display size in the range of 300". Also keep in mind the distance that the projector will have to be from your wall to acheive the desired screen size.

The most important measurement is going to be "lumens". This simply measures the maximum output of light that the projector is capable of producing. To figure out how many lumens you need you can measure your gym with a light meter. Or, use a smart phone app such as Lux Meter for android or Light Lux Meter for Apple. Take your measurement about 6-8 feet from the wall that you want to use for Randori. Then, you can get a ball park minimum number of lumens based for a 12 foot wide image.

Environment Lux reading Recommended min. projector brightness
Cinema 160 Lux 3000 Lumens
Office 500 Lux 4000 Lumens
Indoors, lots of windows 1076 Lux 6000 Lumens
Outdoors, in the shade 6275 Lux 20,000 lumens

Keep in mind that these numbers are a very rough guide, you might want to take some lux measurements at different times of day to make sure that you know what to expect. Also, keep in mind the distance that your projector will need to be from the wall for your desired display size. The further you are from the wall the more powerful your projector will need to be.
